Guest Bedroom Decor Ideas

I’ve been looking at a lot of guest bedroom decor ideas lately. Our guest bedroom pretty much has been the ‘forgotten room’/storage room. I’ve had the urge to want to make that room more eye-appealing and at the same time functional. We are limited with storage so we do want to utilize that space to our advantage.

One thing I kept in mind as I was going through guest bedroom decor ideas was to be minimal. I don’t want a lot of furniture. The reason is because I want to give the room a much larger feel. It gives our guests more room when they do come over,  and it doesn’t limit us to use some of the space for storage.

My Go-To With Decorating

However, I want our guest room to still have a cozy feel. So I looked for pieces that have different textures and knits. I’ve always been a huge fan of textures. Around my house, I pretty much stick with a few colors – white, neutral, and touches of blush. To create dimension and prevent our house from looking boring, I buy pieces in the same color palette with different textures. My favorite way to do that is with pillows. As you can see in the collage, I selected 2 white pillows and both have different fabrics and textures.

Where I Got My Inspiration

One of my favorite places to shop is Serena & Lily. They keep their color palettes very simple and clean but they love to play with textures. So when I was going through Serena & Lily, I was immediately inspired! I had to share with you all what I came up with!

I think my favorite piece is the full-length mirror. It has a slightly rustic and a different look compared to the typical full-length mirror, which I love! Overall, I think my guest bedroom decor has a cozy, coastal feel to it. Which I think is fine!
