I don’t think I can ever get sick of a polka dot outfit. I’ve been a lover of polka dot prints since I figured out how to dress myself … maybe 5 or 6? In most of my childhood photos, I’m wearing some type of polka dot outfit. I think I got it from my mom. She loves this print too!
My Polka Dot Outfit Inspiration
Even though I love this print so much, I can’t recall a time I’ve worn it head to toe. The only exception is a jumpsuit, but a jumpsuit (to me) is one piece versus two pieces like this outfit – a top and a skirt. It almost seems very adventurous wearing a head to toe polka dot outfit, doesn’t it?! But I instantly fell in love with this set when I saw it at Target. Ever since I got my first co-ord set, I kept looking for more. When does the Who What Wear Collection disappoint, am I right? It is my all time favorite collection at Target. Their stuff is so good! I recently got the lemon print set (here in this post), and it gave me all the Amalfi Coast vibes.
This outfit feels so adventurous yet I felt so confident in it. It’s like I channeled my inner Blair (from Atlantic-Pacific). She’s a pro with polka dots. Every outfit she wears in that print, she nails it! Seriously though, search polka dots on her blog and a lot of amazing and creative outfits will show up. I felt so confident in this outfit that I actually wore it on my press trip with the Honda team.
Sizing Information On The Polka Dot Outfit
Usually, I have to size down in the Who What Wear collection and this top was no exception. I sized down to an XS for the top. But if you have a larger chest, then I recommend getting your true size. My chest is 32C, and I normally wear a size S.
If you look closely in these photos, you will notice I placed the tie-waist belt to the side. The tie is from the top (not the skirt). Instead of removing it, I thought I’d use it as an additional accessory.
I recommend to size down for the skirt as well. Normally, I wear a small and the XS fits so much better. I still felt like I had a little more room in the XS.
What I also love about this polka dot outfit set is that I’m able to create other outfits with it. For an event a couple weeks ago, I put together a different outfit with a more summer feel to it by using the skirt only. Now I’m thinking about how I would love to style the top!
