I wore this floral puff sleeve dress when I was in Sarasota last month. As you may know I love wearing dresses so Chicago’s winter is ruining my style haha. My escape every Winter is in Sarasota since we have family there. Anyways, I’m so into wearing floral puff sleeve midi dresses for Spring. It screams Spring doesn’t it? Perhaps even a great Easter outfit. The most obvious aspect to make this midi dress appropriate for Spring is the floral print. Haha so groundbreaking. But I also think Spring fashion is the perfect time to bust out a more feminine style which is why I think this dress is a great option.
Every year when it hits mid-February, my mind can only think about Spring outfits. I keep thinking that March will bring that beautiful Spring temperature. As I’m typing this, it’s snowing pretty hard. Ugh. I really do hope that Spring actually comes in Chicago.
Floral Puff Sleeve Dress For Spring
I love everything about this dress. I personally think anything with a puff sleeve is here to stay. In my opinion, it is a no-brainer that it makes your outfit look chic and very fashion-forward.
I call this floral dress a midi style dress because it didn’t hit full-length on me. Although Free People called it the Heartlands Maxi Dress. I’m only 5’4″ and it is not a maxi dress on me. So just heads up about that. Overall it fits true to size. I got my true size which is a size small. I usually wearing a size small or size 4 in dresses and my bust is 32C.
There’s no stretch to the fabric, however, there is still room in the dress if your chest is larger than mine. I love the square neckline and tie-waist. Free people really know how to make their dresses.
I’m wearing the color Tea Combo or some sites call it the Ivory Combo. However, at Nordstroms they only have the Black Combo color – it has yellow and pink floral prints with black as the base color. I think it is really pretty too! The Heartland Midi dress is also available at Nordstrom Rack.
Other Puff Sleeve Dresses
If you don’t want something in floral print but still love the puff sleeve dress for spring, there are great solid color options as Spring dresses. I’m really into this black puff sleeve dress and I rarely gravitate towards black midi dresses. If you want something with long-sleeve, this wrap style pink puff sleeve dress is super cute too!
Wear Jean Jacket
Even though it has a puff sleeve top, it was so easy to layer with a jean jacket when it got cooler. Another reason why this is the perfect dress for Spring. We all know Spring’s weather fluctuate and the ability to layering it so key!

That is such a beautiful floral dress on you and I love it with the denim jacket! 🙂 I have a few dresses that are this length – they are not quite maxis but too long for a midi – they are the perfect maxi length on my short self though, haha!
