A Spring Transition Outfit

So here is another Spring transition outfit. Remember when I shared how to wear Spring clothes when it is cold out? Well here is another option. Last time, I wore booties with this Spring dress. Now I am sharing how I wear a Spring outfit with over the knee boots. I’ve been wanting to wear this dress for awhile now, and I was hoping the weather would cooperate so I could wear it. But that was not the case.

Another favorite transition piece that has been on repeat is my boyfriend jean jacket. I’m seriously obsessed with the fit and it has now been my go-to final layering piece. As soon as I run out the door, I naturally pick it up! If you are curious about it, I talked about it a couple weeks ago.

So to feed my hunger of wearing dresses, I layered it with black tights and over the knee boots. Basically it feels like I’m wearing pants but still wearing a mini dress. At first I was annoyed that my Spring transition included tights, but now I’ve grown to like it and it’s possible I will use this outfit idea into the Fall. The boots and tights give the jumper dress a different feel to it. Adds some type of chicness.

As much as I like the the addition of these layers and how the outfits looks, I do hope that there will no longer be a need for it soon haha. It is looking like the weather is slowly but surely heading in the right direction. This week it is looking like it’ll be in the 50’s. So I am crossing my fingers it stays that way. I’m still contemplating if I should pack away my Sorel and Ugg boots. Isn’t it sad that it is the end of April and I can’t decide if I should put away my winter boots?!

    This is such a good transition outfit! Your dress and jacket makes it perfect for spring but it still looks warm and cozy at the same time. I ended up wearing a way too thin jacket for my transition outfit so I ended up getting a cold. I wish that I had read this before!

    Yea the tights and the boots definitely assist during transitional weather. Right now, it’s fairly cold in the mornings (50s) but then gets to the 70s for most of the day so I’m good with that.

    This is definitely a difficult transition, especially when you feel totally pale and washed out from the winter months. This is a great post idea as we are all trying to get back into all the most fun clothing 🙂

    Ahh, I’m jealous of the spring transition outfits! One of my favorite outfit combos is a pair of denim shorts, a tucked black tank, and a black duster jacket, but I NEVER get to wear it because here in Vegas we don’t really get much ‘transition’ time. Like last week we were in the 50s and now we’re in the 90s. It’s crazy. No more jackets/boots smh.
