You guys, when I saw this holiday plaid cape on the Talbots website, I immediately knew I needed it this holiday season! It was exactly what I was envisioning to wear for the holidays. I wanted a good quality holiday plaid cape, and this one from Talbots nailed it. It’s not heavy fabric at all, yet it’s not thin or feels cheap. It is seriously the best kind of layering piece to wear during the holidays! Casual yet still looks put-together and fashion-forward. My favorite detail of this cape are the toggle buttons! I am wearing two other pieces from Talbots. This time of year I can’t get enough of turtlenecks, and I am wearing a ribbed turtleneck with buttons on the cuffs. Can you tell I am all about the subtle details? The buttons on the cuff add extra omf to your classic turtleneck. I also think it would look great with these plaid pants. The turtleneck also fits true to size.

Another fun piece from Talbots are the shearling lined boots.The shearling is lined on the exterior and on the ankle of the the interior. The faux fur is just on the cuffs. It gives your basic boots a cozy look. Anything with faux fur is perfect for this time of year! It was a great way to finish off my effortless holiday outfit! I’m wearing my usual shoe size.
