Thinking About the Value of Friendship
Originally I was going to talk about this sweater I received from Aventura (isn’t it cute!), but thinking about this photoshoot made me think about something else. It got me thinking about the value of friendship. You’re probably like ummm how does this sweater have anything to do with friendship? Well it was more about when this photo was taken.
It Got Me Thinking
When I was getting ready to put this outfit together, my friend Heidi was kind enough to come over and take these photos. I originally had a different pair of shoes to wear for this outfit but the weather was brutally cold that day and I wasn’t sure if my feet would stay warm enough. Heidi without hesitation offered her boots. You guys, she let me borrow her new, barely worn Sorel boots! She’s like “it would look really cute with your outfit, so just wear it”. I told her I didn’t want to take credit for these boots and she didn’t care. She didn’t want my feet to be cold and she really wanted my outfit to work out.
Value of Friendship
So here is where it got me thinking about the value of friendship. Real friends don’t care about competition, they care about your well-being. This reflection made me think about the people in my life. If you ask me how many friends I have, the number is low. Friendship to me is about the quality not quantity.
I think about the friends I have (this includes the new friendships I have made) and they are amazing. They are there for me (and my husband) no matter what and always stood by my side even during difficult times. They know when and how to show their support, love, and care, and for that I am so grateful. So to my friends, thank you all so much. Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for your friendship. ♥
I feel like I’ve been in a thankful mood lately, but I really do want to show my appreciation for everything good in my life. Life has its downs, but a lot of good comes out of it. Which is why I really want to take the moment to be grateful and express my gratitude.
So if you guys have wonderful friends in your life, thank them. Good and genuine people can be rare to find.
