Almost Didn’t Buy The Who What Wear Floral Maxi Dress

Did you know that I almost didn’t buy this Who What Wear Floral Maxi Dress? It’s one of those clothing items that looked ‘meh’ on the rack. But because I was in Target, and just wanted to try everything on, I added it to my shopping cart, went to the fitting room, and really had no expectations at all about it.

But when I put this dress on, I knew I just had to buy it. It’s the perfect maxi length, it slightly cinches on the waist so it’s flattering, and I love the neck-tie detail. So chic and just the right amount of Spring feel to it. It’s also one of those dresses that you can wear dressed up or dressed down. I’ve worn it on both type of occasions and it’s perfect!

UPDATE:This exact floral maxi dress is no longer available. However, this maxi dress looks almost identical to the one I’m wearing! I’m also sharing other Who What Wear dresses I’m currently loving below.

All Time Favorite Target Collaboration

If I didn’t share this yet, the Who What Wear line in Target is my all time favorite clothing collection/collaboration in Target. I’m an avid reader of the Who What Wear online publication, love the styles and outfits they share and knew immediately I would love it if they had a clothing line. Luckily, they started a clothing line and it’s at Target and we all know Target rarely disappoints!

Everything in the Who What Wear collection at Target is affordable. All their pieces are on-trend yet made to also be a timeless piece in your closet. The best part is that they’re size inclusive!

Their regular size ranges from XS to XXL. Their plus size ranges from 1X to 4X. One of my cousin (who is the same age as I am) have the same taste in clothes and always thought it would be fun if we dressed up in the same clothes. Unfortunately, both of our body types are different. But with Who What Wear’s size inclusivity, we are no able to! Our childhood dreams coming true haha.

The One Accessory I Forgot

Anyways back to this floral maxi dress. I put it on in the fitting room and loved it! I loved it even more when I layered it with a jean jacket. Surprisingly, one of my favorite bloggers Kendi (from Kendi Everyday) wore the same dress with a jean jacket! One thing that I did differently was that I wore my favorite brown belt around the waist. I’m actually kicking myself because when we took these photos, I forgot about the belt. UGH!! I freaking loved it with that belt! Oh well!

Another great belt to wear are these woven straw belts. They give the outfit a more Summary feel if that’s the look you are going for. These belts come in a pack 4 in 4 different colors for only $20. I randomly came across them on Amazon and so glad I did. It is a one size belt. However, the belt is stretchy and made with elastic.

Sizing On Who What Wear Floral Maxi Dress

This dress fits true to size. So whatever your usual size is in a dress, I highly recommend getting it. The length for me is not too bad. It does touch the floor for my 5’4″ frame, but it was not dragging. I wore my all time favorite kitty heels, and it gave just enough height so that the dress didn’t touch the floor. There was also a room in the chest area. So if you are bustier, this will also work for you.

Here is my sizing so you get a better idea what I mean by true to size. I weight 140 lbs and I’m 5’4″ tall with an athletic body type and bubble butt haha. My chest size is 32C. So I usually wear a size small or size 4 in tops and dresses. For pants and bottoms, I wear a size 27 or size 4 or size small.

I also wore this dress when I was in NYC. And it was an easy dress to make ultra chic. I decided to make a bow with the neck tie (that it came with) and parted on the side. What do you think of it?
