La Maison Talulah
I have a new favorite brand and that is La Maison Talulah. Ever since I discovered them, I can’t stop obsessing and talking about this brand. Now if only they could sponsor that would be a dream come true #CrossingMyFingers haha. Since this is an Australian brand, if you purchase directly through their site, they offer free express shipping to the United States!
They also provide the Afterpay option. Basically, Afterpay is a payment method that splits your order value over four equal payments due every fortnight (due every two weeks). Each installment is interest-free. Your first installment is due at the time of purchase. So you can shop now and pay the rest later. Using Afterpay still allows you to enjoy free express shipping. They follow the shipping rules of the retailer.
RTR
I actually came across La Maison Talulah when I was going through Rent The Runway. I was looking for a dress to wear for a dinner rehearsal and a wedding. Whenever there is a special occasion, Rent The Runway is my go-to to shop for dresses. I have two reasons for this:
1) For special occasions, I’ve noticed that I tend to wear these dresses once. Unless I am absolutely and completely in love with the dress, I almost never wear them again and they just sit in my closet until I have the courage to donate them. Ugh, that “what-if I need it” always gets to me and delays cleaning out my closet.
2) Space is limited. We don’t have a lot of storage space in our home. And if 9 out of 10 times I don’t wear these dresses again, why take up more space. RTR eliminates that issue for me.
But the best part of Rent The Runway (again, they would be another amazing partnership…you all have seen me share their stuff numerous times! #CrossingMyFingers), I can wear (more like rent) high-end, name brand clothes without paying its full retail price. And they have almost every brand you can imagine such as Kate Spade New York, Rebecca Taylor, Veronica Beard, RED Valentino…. I’m sure you get the picture.
So if you want try out La Maison Talulah prior to owning it, highly recommend using Rent the Runway! But if you’re like me, you will love this brand and will most likely want to own it!
Discovered La Maison Talulah
Anyways, I wanted to pick a fun yet tasteful dress for the dinner rehearsal. I didn’t read the label, just fell in love with these 2 floral dresses. I even did a poll in my Instagram Stories asking you all which one I should wear! So I got both haha. And it just so happened that these 2 dresses were from the same brand. I’m sure you already know how this ends. Below, I am sharing more about these two dresses.
DRESS 1
SIZE: I wore a medium. Initially, I ordered a small and the waist was way too tight. So I recommend going a size up.
REVIEW: Aside from sizing up, I’m in love with this dress. It has the perfect sky blue color and red floral prints. It has puffed sleeves which I think helps this dress make a statement. It does have a low V neckline. But they did it in a tasteful way. Since I did size up, it was a little loose. So I just used some fashion tape to tape it down. I also used these nipple covers (breast petals) so that I don’t have to wear a bra. Or if you want to wear bra, I think wearing the FP Adella bralette would look great underneath!
I did end up wearing this dress to the dinner rehearsal and received so many compliments. It is a good mixture of fashion-forward, classy, and feminine. The color combination is so unique that I personally think it is what made it a showstopper.
OTHER THINGS I’M WEARING: Naturalizer heels (so comfortable!!) and Uncommon James Earrings
DRESS 2
Floral Print Ruffle Midi Dress
SIZE: I wore a medium. Although part of me thinks I could have went with a small. It was a little loose around the waist, but not significant enough for me to want to return for a small.
REVIEW: If you are into ruffles, you will love this dress. The tie-waist is a faux tie-waist. It’s really so you can tie a bow. The upper half of the dress has a much more loose-fit. Therefore, I decided to wear the FP Adella bralette underneath. I had a meeting to go to and wanted to be extra cautious! But this dress is so fun and ultra-feminine. I was able to find this dress in 3 different stores: Amazon, Neiman Marcus, and Last Call Neiman Marcus.
I ended up wearing this dress to a couple meetings. Whenever I attend meetings, I like to be professional without losing my personality. I truly believe showcasing your personality in a meeting is so important. It helps build connection, and they truly get a better idea of who you are and what you can offer. I’m soooo over those business buzzwords. I remember when I had to interview potential candidates for an open position in my team (at my former job), and there were so many business buzzwords said by these applicants. By the end of the interview, I still had no idea what value they can add. Ok, I’m done rambling haha.
OTHER THINGS I’M WEARING: Slingback Flats, Moda Luxe Bag (extra 20% off with code RACHML20), and Rattan Earrings

Yes exactly! I’ve also discovered brands I love to wear through RTR!
These dresses are beyond beautiful and look stunning on you, I feel they might be a bit too low cut on me which is a shame because the prints and length are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing xx

It does have a very low-cut. I do recommend the Adelle bralette. I wore it with the second dress.
