7 Chic Amazon Tops Under $20. Cute tops to buy at Amazon.

I asked in my Instagram Story what type of clothing I should feature for my next Amazon Fashion post, and the top answer was tops. So today, I am sharing chic Amazon tops under $20.

If you are looking for another type of clothing, I’ve featured skirts, dresses, and sweaters. In these posts, I share what I purchased and my honest review on each item. For instance, I give my personal opinion on them, if I kept or returned the item, and sizing!

Before We Begin

I think it is always important that I share my size and measurements. Hopefully this helps you all have a point of reference and know which size will work for you!

Height: 5’4″
Weight: 140 lbs
Bust: 32C
Usual Tops/Dress Size: Small or US 4
Usual Bottom Size: Small or Size 4 or Size 27

Also, I’m a big fan of tucking in my shirts/tops. However, I do think it is important to see the length of these tops. Therefore, I have two photos: one tucked in and one untucked.

My Inspiration

If you can tell, I had some sort of style when I was shopping haha. I think it is because lately I’m loving a lot of stuff from Reformation, Faithfull brand, and Something Navy. So I think my picks were inspired by these brands. The good thing is I was able to replicate that style at a fraction of the cost!

Puffed Sleeve Floral Blouse

SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a small. I originally purchased a medium, and it was loose on the shoulder. The sleeves would fall off.

REVIEW: This floral blouse definitely emulates the Reformation style! And I love it! The puffed sleeves are cute but not over the top. The chest area felt comfortable with some room. It has a zip closure, and the fabric is lightweight. It also has a subtle ruffle/peplum style.

VERDICT: Kept it. I love it!

High Neck Floral Chiffon Blouse

SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a small.

REVIEW: This top is sheer, but still looks chic. You will need to wear a tank or a nude bra. I wore this nude bra underneath and it was the perfect coverage. With this type of bra, you can’t really tell that I’m wearing a bra because it doesn’t have the usual bra shape (it is also very comfortable). It is has a dark green color with pinkish floral prints. I love this top so much that I got it in the navy color (which I featured below). The cuffs of the sleeves have a button closure – just like any usual button shirt.

VERDICT: Kept it

Square Neck Long Sleeve Top

SIZING: Sized up due to review. I got a medium.

REVIEW: I got this top because it resembled a Something Navy top that sold out. Glad I sized up! Actually the image used is Arielle from Something Navy. Even though the medium fits me, it was too fitted for my style. I was hoping it would be a cotton fabric, but this top felt spandex-like and I just don’t think it looks good. But if you like fitted tops, then this is for you! However, if you are busty, you definitely will need to go up 2 sizes.

VERDICT: Returned it.

Sleeveless Waffle Knit Top

SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a small.

REVIEW: I got this sleeveless waffle knit top because I want a summer version of the popular waffle knit long sleeve (which I have yet to try!). I love it! It is a great basic piece to have. When I was trying this one on, I was able to create several outfits with it. Who knew it would be so versatile! The color is misleading. I selected beige, but it looks more like a light peach. Which is fine. But if you wanted a true beige, that is not what you will get. However, I’m thinking of getting the white one!

VERDICT: Kept It.

Ruffle Sleeves Crop Top

SIZING: I sized up to medium.

REVIEW: It is a really cute crop top. Great way to give an outfit a feminine style. I think it is great for the high-waisted skirt or pants where tucking-in would make the bottom look weird. I own some skirts that are high-waisted like this (usually they’re satin), so a crop top would be a great pairing. For sure size up. It is fitted, but when you size up it is at least comfortable.

VERDICT: Kept it.

Floral Chiffon Blouse

SIZING: Fits true to size. I’m wearing a small.

REVIEW: Love this one! It is the same as the dark green but there is a slight difference. I initially got this one because I couldn’t decide if I wanted it in navy or green. So I got both haha. The difference is the cuff of the sleeve. The cuff is elastic. Which I find more comfortable and you can easily roll up your sleeves without physically rolling. The green one’s cuff has a button closure. It also is a sheer top, but this can easily be solved by a nude bra or tank top.

VERDICT: I kept it!

Puff Sleeve Top

SIZING: Fits true to size. I got the US 4-6/Small.

REVIEW: The description says it is a crop top and it is not. It is normal length. All the reviews say size up, but I decided to get my usual size and the fit was perfectly fine. Aside from that, there isn’t anything wrong with the top. But for some reason, when I put it on, I just wasn’t feeling it.

VERDICT: Returned it.

Additional Thoughts

When I was shopping for the tops, I had a similar experience as I did when I was shopping for sweaters. Which was frustrating. There was inconsistency with Prime.

Meaning when I was browsing it would say it is a Prime item, however, when I clicked on the item, only certain sizes were eligible for Prime. I’ve learned my lesson from one of the skirts I purchased, to only get Prime eligible items. Otherwise, they would take weeks to arrive. The whole purpose of shopping on Amazon is the convenience due to Prime Shipping.

Therefore, I would have featured more chic Amazon tops, but I didn’t want to wait forever for them to arrive. I just wished that if an item was advertised as Prime, that ALL sizes were Prime eligible.

    Oh man, that sucks that there were inconsistencies with Prime, but at least you scored some really cute tops! Also, don’t be surprised if you see a picture of me floating around with me copying one of these styles lol I hope you had a lovely weekend!

    I really like the sleeveless waffle knit top, that fabric and texture is something that I really like. I think shopping for clothes in general for me is even within the same stores that clothing sizes can be super inconsistent and it’s annoying, especially for someone who hates shopping for clothes or trying them one. I really liked the versatile choices and pictures here. 🙂

    I hear you with the frustration on finding that not all of the sizes work with Prime Shipping! It’s amazing how demanding I’ve become when it comes to online shipping! These are great options under $20. That first floral blouse is my absolute favorite! I can’t believe it’s under $20! When you bought it, was it included with Prime shipping? I see it’s not now but maybe if I wait…!

      Omg you are so right. I definitely have higher demand and high expectations when it comes to online shopping! The first one is my absolute favorite too! Oh no, it was Prime shipping when I bought it. Prime shipping changes day to day which is also another frustrating thing about Amazon haha.
