The $28 Amazon Dress I’ve Been Talking About
SHOP THE OUTFIT: Green Floral Maxi Dress | Leather Sandals | Turban Twist-Knot Headband | Straw Belt (comes in pack of 4 for $20) | Straw Bag |
You might recognize this $28 Amazon Dress. I briefly shared it in my green floral dress outfit ideas post. I’ve also been sharing it quite a bit on Instagram. I’m surprised I never did a post on this during the Summer. I love this dress! I know we are all in Fall mode, but let’s be real, the weather is still warm enough to wear your Summer dress. In Chicago, the other day the weather was in the 60s, but right at the moment the temperature is 80 degrees.
So in this post I’ll share more about this $28 Amazon dress. I’ll give the scoop about sizing, different ways I’ve styled it, and overall my honest thoughts. Let’s be real, not everything from Amazon is perfect. But I will admit the price is really really nice haha!
All About My $28 Amazon Dress
Sizing
Let’s talk sizing first because I think that is so important to discuss especially when it comes to purchasing anything from Amazon Fashion.
It fits true to size-ish. I’ll explain what I mean by the “ish”. I got my usual size which is a small. For reference, I always wear a small in dresses or a size 4. I am 140 lbs, 5’4″ tall, and my chest is 32C. But there is a lot of room in this dress. It’s very flowy and I could size down to an XS. Personally, I like my dresses loose-fitting. It’s a maxi dress, but perfect for my height since it didn’t drag along the floor. The dress fell right above the ankle.
Well-Priced
If you can’t guess the price, it’s only $28. It’s a steal and it’s part of Amazon Prime. So you can return it back for free!
The Material
This dress is very lightweight as in it is made for Summer weather / hot days. I don’t recommend wearing this in Fall temperatures. According to the reviews, they say the dress is see-through. Personally, I didn’t have this issue. It could be because I got a dress in a darker color. So maybe if you get a light colored dress, that might be more see-through.
Other Options
As I mentioned above, there are different colors and prints to choose from. Mine is the green florals. However, there are 43 other colors and prints to choose from! So that’s a lot and hopefully there’s one for every person’s preference.
Different Outfits
I strongly believe that when you have a flowy dress, you have versatility. If you noticed in these pics, I have styled it two different ways.
- You can wear it as is, and just let that dress flow.
- Or you can belt it. I recommend a wide-width belt. It adds a bit more of a statement.
- Add a bag – I used a straw bag.
- Switch up your hair. For one of the looks, I wore a twist knot headband.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, I like the dress. Is it high on my list of favorites? Probably not, but still a great Summer dress or vacation dress especially if you want something more budget friendly. I did notice after I washed the dress that its length shortened a bit. Which I find interesting. However, everything else about the dress such as the fit is still the same. I also love that there are other colors to choose from.

Such a cute dress! I love that color on you! If the fabric is rayon, that would probably account for the shrinkage lol! That usually happens to me 🙂

This dress is so pretty! I love the green color and how flowy it is. It’s great for the heat but also would be perfect layered with a jacket.

Are the straps on this dress adjustable? That’s my biggest struggle with any summery dresses, because I have literally the smallest chest ever and when I wear strappy dresses they tend to just droop ridiculously low. It’s really frustrating. But I LOVE this dress and I’d love to get it if I know it’ll stay in place haha!
Oh yes they are definitely adjustable! So sorry I forgot to mention it!
What a great price! In Texas, it’s summer year round so I’ll definitely still get use out of this dress.
Haha that’s so true!
what a bargain! it looks like million dollars on you! xx
