Authentic Stretch Denim

Have you tried Everlane’s Authentic Stretch denim? It is their newest denim collection and it came out about a month ago. If you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest you go try one now. You will not regret it. They’re not normal stretch jeans. They’re so comfortable that you can move in them like you are wearing leggings.

Issues With Other Jeans

Trust me when I say they are not your usual stretch denim. I’ve owned a few pairs and while yes they are more comfortable than most jeans, they’re still not perfect. Either the sizing is off and they get all saggy (especially in the butt area), waist is too large and everything else on the leg is way too fitted. Or they’re not as stretchy as you’d like them to be. Meaning you can’t be as mobile since there is still some restriction.

You are probably like, well there are jeggings. I agree, I do love a good pair of jeggings. But want to know what my issues are with jeggings?
Here are 2 reasons:
1) A good pair of jeggings is sooo expensive. Around $200. If they’re basically leggings, why would I want to pay that much?!
2) Some jeggings you can tell don’t look as good as jeans. Meaning they have the jean-like fabric, but don’t emulate jeans very well.

Everlane realized that there’s no true stretch denim aka stretch denim that actually looks like denim in the market. And if you’ve shopped at Everlane before, they keep things relatively affordable as well. So when I heard they came out with the Authentic Stretch denim, oh I knew I had to get my hands on them. I’ve been a believer in Everlane jeans. I wear them all the time. All their stuff is so good!

When I put on my first pair of Authentic Stretch denim, I immediately knew they lived up to the hype! I am wearing the high-rise skinny ankle jeans and they are perfect. It hugs me in all the right places and the high-waisted style is so flattering. And you bet I am mobile in these jeans. I walked around my house doing lunges and jumping up and down. No issues there. The best part – they didn’t sag by the end of the day!

Oh yes and one important aspect – it is priced well! These jeans are only $68.

Sizing

They fit true to size. I’m 5’4 and this is how the ankle length fits. In general, my preference is always to choose ankle length. I find that the ankle length flatters my size a bit better.
