It’s no surprise that I love a breezy dress especially during the Summer. If it’s flowy, it will most likely immediately grabs my attention. I can pretty much live in a breezy summer dress all day everyday. If only Chicago’s weather would let me haha.
I’ve been wanting to share these easy breezy summer dresses for awhile now. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out a time to go outside and take outdoor photos. Figuring out when to schedule outdoor photos is a struggle. Tre and I are on different work schedules. And of course, we are always on Carter’s schedule haha. Hopefully I can figure that out soon. In the meantime, mirror selfies of these dresses will do haha.
Easy Breezy Summer Dresses
I love that most of these dresses are perfect for any occasion. Seriously, you can probably wear them as an everyday dress or to a bridal shower, baby shower, wedding guest dress, etc. All it takes is switching up a few accessories. You bet I included jumpsuits too – they’re pretty much dresses in my book haha.
You want to know what’s kind of funny? Now that things are opening and getting back to normal (in the U.S. at least), I’m so flustered with what shoes to wear with these clothes haha. I’m so used to being indoors and barefoot that now I need to start considering what shoes would look great with each dress haha. I know sounds silly right? I’ve only been wearing these sandals since I have no idea what to wear.
You will probably recognize some of these dresses because I’ve mentioned them in previous posts. I wrote a round up of Spring and Summer dresses for under $100 and 10 Mango dresses I’m currently loving. I love shopping at Mango for easy breezy summer dresses. They have the best selections at affordable prices!
What I also love about these dresses is that they are great for postpartum! My body is healing and has changed that it feels good to put on a dress that I still feel comfortable and amazing in. Some these can be worn during pregnancy since they’re bump-friendly dresses as well.
Size Reference
Throughout this post, I will share the sizing of each dress. But I do think it is important to understand my size so you know what I’m referencing to when I mention ‘true to size’
I currently weigh between 135 lbs – 140 lbs. Maybe it’s just me but my weight fluctuates so much during postpartum. My chest size is 32C and I’m 5’4″ tall. For dresses and tops, I usually wear size small or size 4. For skirts, bottoms, and jeans I usually wear size 27, size small, or size 4.
The Ellie Nap Dress
SIZING: Runs big. I sized down to XS.
I’ve been hearing about The Nap Dress for awhile now, but was hesitant if it was worth the hype. But I decided to go for it, and so glad I did. I really don’t know how to describe it but it’s seriously for any occasion. The dress is also created so that it can be bump-friendly and great to wear postpartum. You can also wear a bra and you don’t have to wear about your bra straps exposing. My dress is in the Mermaid print, but they do come in several other prints at well. I’ll write a thorough review of the Nap dress soon!
My crossbody bag is actually a Best of Seven wristlet. I removed the Wristlet strap and replaced it with the Convertible Chain Strap so it is chicer crossbody bag.
So this is the Ellie Nap dress in the Blue Botanical print. I believe this is one of their classic prints but don’t quote me on it. I couldn’t resist but get a blue and white dress.
Emerald Green Maxi Dress
SIZING: Fits true to size. I’m wearing a small.
I was immediately drawn to the emerald green color of this dress and print. It’s GORGEOUS! It has pockets and smocked waist. I wore this as a date night dress, but this dress would look amazing as a wedding guest dress.
I’m wearing the Best of Seven wristlet again with the Convertible Chain Strap as a crossbody bag.
Puff Sleeve Linen Dress
SIZING: Fits true to size-ish. I add the ‘ish’ because my body is a little tricky because of postpartum. I ended up going a size up and I’m wearing a size 6. However, I have another dress in a different color and have it in my usual size (size 4) and it doesn’t fit unless I wore Spanx. I put on the OnCore High-Waisted Shorts. So I guess if you are not currently experiencing postpartum body, get your usual size. If you are, I recommend going a size up.
Any dress that has a sweetheart neckline or square neckline is almost always flattering. Love this dress so much that I’m always buying this style haha. The slit shows just enough leg without exposing too much and the linen fabric is great for summer. I wore this on Carter’s baptism, but I think this dress is a great option for a bridal shower dress. If you love Reformation dresses, you would love this dress. It has the similar fit and style but more affordable!
I decided to wear these low-heeled sandals. It’s comfortable and completes the outfit.
The bag is the same Best of Seven bag and I used the Blue Interchangeable Flap and used the Convertible Chain Strap.
Vichy Check Dress
SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a size 4 which is equivalent to size small.
This dress has a tie shoulder detail which I think makes it so fun and HAS POCKETS!!
Flowy Flower Printed Dress
SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a size 4 which is equivalent to size small.
I really love how that it has a subtle puff sleeve. It’s super feminine and works in any occasion. There’s a tie waist and as you can see, I styled it 2 different usually. I tied it in the back or tied in the front.
Textured Cotton Dress
SIZING: True to size. I’m wearing a size 4 which is equivalent to size small.
This dress looks wayyyy better in person. It’s very lightweight so it’s great for hot summer days. I really love that this dress has a lot of subtle details which makes it look unique. If you’re breastfeeding, it would make a great nursing dress because of the v-neck and buttons. I have worn this dress with or without a belt. Love this belt for the summer. It comes in 4 different styles and all 4 are only $20!
Big Love Jumpsuit
SIZING: Runs large. I had to size down to XS.
You can find this jumpsuit at Free People, Nordstrom, Revolve, and Zappos. You can also rent it at Nuuly and if you love it, you can purchase it at a discounted rate.
I wore this jumpsuit at my first girl’s night out (or my first mama’s night out haha). Isn’t this jumpsuit so much fun?! It’s super wide leg and has pockets. I wore my go-t0 straw belt (comes in a pack of 4 for $20) to dress it up. But I love it without the belt too and it gives a more casual feel. The sailor style collar is so cute!
My crossbody bag is from Best of Seven (it’s called the Signature bag). I probably mention them way too much. But one of the fun accessories is I can easily switch out the Adjustable Strap to the Convertible Chain Strap.
Maison Me Hadley Tiered Dress
SIZING: True to size and I’m wearing a size S.
I had no idea Maisonette has cute dresses for mamas. I honestly thought this store only offers baby clothes and toys (which by the way are SUPER CUTE). It’s under their collection called Maison Me and they have matching outfits for your little girl to create a mommy and me outfit. I’m also impressed with the price because it is relatively affordable especially since the quality is amazing. The Hadley dress has the perfect floral print and has drawstrings at the waist. I honestly love it without tightening the drawstring. But you’ll see that shared both without tightening the drawstring and tightening the drawstring.
Molly Jo Midi Dress
SIZING: True to size. I’m in a size small.
You can find this dress at Free People, Saks 5th Avenue, Macy’s, Shopbop, and Revolve. You can also rent it at Nuuly and if you love it, you can purchase it at a discounted rate (which is what I did and convinced me to purchase it).
This is definitely more casual dress compared to all the dresses in this post. It’s great as an everyday dress and wear this a lot during my stroller walks. It has a cut-out detail in the back and you can tell it is made for very hot days!
Analia Dress Puff Sleeve Floral Dress
SIZING: Fits true to size and I’m in a small.
You can find this dress at LoveShackFancy, Red Dress, Shopbop, and Revolve.
I’m OBSESSED with this dress. I mean anything from LoveShackFancy is always beautiful. Wore this dress during our wedding anniversary weekend and first dinner out as a family three. I received so many compliments whenever I wear this dress.
The bag is the same Best of Seven bag as the jumpsuit outfit above. For this outfit, I switch the flap to the Pink Interchangeable Flap and used the Convertible Chain Strap.
I seriously thrive during the Summer. Summer fashion is my ultimate favorite haha. What was your favorite Summer fashion purchase?
