Frayed Hem Jeans
Wearing frayed hem jeans has been on the rise lately. I’ve seen almost every blogger wear them and to their credit, they wore and styled those kind of jeans very well. The amount of frayedness (I probably made this word up, but it is the best way I can describe it haha) varies. Some pairs of jeans have a very intense frayedness, and there are some that are more subtle. I tend to own more subtle frayed hem jeans.
I’ll be honest, as much as I loved seeing bloggers wear the more intense frayed hem jeans, I’m so scared to try them out. I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. But yet I really wanted to try them out. Have any of you had that urge to try something but also be scared to wear it? Maybe it is just me haha.
Well after trying out Jen7 Jeans and being impressed with the quality, I knew I wanted to try more of their jeans and that’s when I saw these frayed hem jeans. What drew me in is that the hem has a tulip or some call it scalloped hem. It is a subtle detail, but it is so cute! It was the push I needed to try out more frayed hem jeans.
I seriously love these pairs of jeans! It is a nice change to my jeans collection. It is edgy (pun intended) yet still feminine. Just like my other pair of Jen7 Jeans, they fit true to size. I’m wearing a size 4 and usually wear size 27 in jeans. They’re so soft and comfortable! There’s a decent amount of stretch yet it doesn’t lose its structure.
They’re also ankle length and fit mid-rise. However, the mid-rise fit is higher than your usual mid-rise but not high enough to be considered high-waisted. I hope this makes sense!
From time to time I like to try out a new online boutique. This time I tried out Sky Love Boutique and decided to get this overlap sweater. This sweater fits true to size and I’m wearing a small. It is more of a lightweight sweater.
If anything, I would call it a summer sweater since I can probably wear it during cooler summer months. Therefore, I don’t think it will keep you warm during Fall (unless it is that sweet temperature spot during Fall. Those are the PERFECT Fall temps in my opinion.) However, I still think lightweight sweaters are great to wear this time of year because they make layering easier or more fun and you are not overheating. Nevertheless, I still think it is a cute sweater and I love the overlap detail!
