I never ever would have thought I’d be into a brown polka dot skirt, but here I am posting about it! Originally, when I ordered this skirt from Amazon, I thought it was an orangey-rust colored skirt. I am obsessed with that color! Amazon – you can be so deceiving sometimes!
So when I did my round up of Amazon skirts, I was really surprised that it was to more of a true brown color in person. Definitely was very hesitant about it. Usually when I wear brown, it is more of a beige or camel color. It is rare to find a true brown color flattering on me.
Really Love The Brown Polka Dot Skirt
But this skirt is so cute! I brought with me when we were in Austin a few weeks ago. The pleated style is always so flattering, and the best part is that it has pockets! Who can say no to pockets?! The skirt also has an elastic band and sits high-waisted. Elastic waist bands are the best because they usually can fit a couple sizes and are more comfortable than the skirts with zipper closure.
This brown polka dot skirt is great during warm days. It is very light weight and breezy. Which worked out for me because it barely took up space when packing for Austin. I love this skirt so much that I got it in green. Stay tuned for how I styled the green skirt. I definitely based it around Chicago’s cooler Spring weather. It also comes in white, red, yellow, and black.
But overall, if you are looking for a comfortable, summer skirt, you’ll probably want and love this. You can easily dress it up for a date night outfit or dress it out for a casual day outfit. And surprisingly, the brown color goes with a lot of tops. In my opinion, it worked just like a neutral colored skirt. It’s probably why I loved it more than I thought.
Also, you can’t beat the price. It’s only $25. And since it is currently on Amazon Prime, you can easily return it if you don’t like it. I said “currently on Amazon Prime”, because sometimes items would occasion be off of Amazon Prime and then get back on. So just a heads up!
In terms of sizing, it fits true to size. I usually wear size small, and I got a size small. The skirt fits me perfectly without suffocating my waist. The length is more midi style and it falls around my calf.
My Size For Reference
To get you an idea what I mean by true to size, I’ll share my body type and measurement. I’m 5’4 and weight about 140 lbs. My body type is straight / athletic, however, I have a bubble butt. It’s not big but very bubbly. If you have a bubble butt, you know exactly what I mean haha.
Always, for bottoms such as pants, jeans, and skirts, I usually wear size small, size 27, or size 4. My chest size is 32C. So for tops and dresses, I usually wear size small or size 4. Hopefully by sharing my size, this gives you a point of reference when you select your size.
