I’m Back With This Pom Pom Dress
Yes, I will be talking about this pom pom dress. I wore it while I was in Florida last week. I know I took another break. But so much was going on in Florida that I didn’t want to half-ass my blog post. I want to make sure every blog post I write, I put a lot of thought into it. It is about quality not quantity.
Why I Was in Florida
My Floridian trip started out in Orlando for the YSC Summit. The YSC Summit is an annual conference hosted by the Young Survival Coalition. The summit is 3 days long and filled with different workshops for women who were diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, medical updates, and is a great way to meet other breast cancer thrivers. The YSC is an organization very dear to me. Last year was my first year going and for once since I was diagnosed, I was not alone. I found young women who totally get me. It was a judgement free zone. It was a weekend full of love, laughter, tears, and bonding.
After the summit, we went to Disney World! As you all may know, we love Disney! The fact that we were in Orlando, it was basically begging us to go. We were there for a few days and of course spent time with the breasties while we were there. Love hanging out with those girls! It feels good to find my tribe.
Back To The Dress
Ok, now back to this pom pom dress. At first, I was hesitant about it. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. Would I look like I was trying too hard? Does the dress have too many details? I may have been a little overdressed for the summit, but it was warm, there were palm trees, so a dress with pom poms had to be worn.
To my surprise, I received so many compliments. As the day went on, I felt more and more comfortable with the dress. Now I can’t wait to wear it again (ahem, Chicago, you better have some Spring weather for me).
Why I Love This Pom Pom Dress
The details. Even though I did question the amount of details in this dress, the details are gorgeous! The pom poms give the dress that Spring and Summer feel and the embroidery is beautiful.
So Light. The dress is lightweight. There’s a lot going on, but it is so breathable and light! I was out in the sun a lot in this dress, and I was still comfortable in it. I also think it would make a great coverup!
Very Flattering. The dress is flattering. It cinches at the waist (it has an elastic band) so it hugs the waist in all the right places. Which pairs well with the flowy A-line bottom.
What about you guys? Have you bought a dress you weren’t sure of and ended up loving it?
