What Is A Co-Ord Set?
I’ve been shopping for affordable co-ord sets lately because I’ve been wanting to own a co-ord set for awhile. So this outfit is my first! If you don’t know what a co-ord set is, it is basically a two-piece outfit that is worn together (a matching top & bottom). Some retailers also call this type of outfit a ‘matching set’. To be honest, I do not even know what co-ord exactly stands for. I tried googling and never got a definition. My search query returns a list of retailers that sell this type of outfit.
What I love about a co-ord set/two-piece set/matching set is that you can easily can have at least 3 outfits.
- One outfit is the entire matching set.
- The other outfit is the top with another bottom.
- Then the last outfit is the bottom with another top.
My Affordable Co-Ord Sets
I discovered my affordable set at JCPenney. About a month ago, I had a special project (didn’t require me to post about it at all) with JCPenney and I came across this top. After scrolling through the site, I realized it was a set and got the matching pants. I immediately loved it. The entire set cost me under $50 and then JCPenney had a storewide sale. It was a no brainer decision.
I wore it during our time in Sarasota. This day we were exploring downtown Sarasota. They had a chalk festival. This is where chalk artists showcase their work around downtown Sarasota. It was so cool! I can’t believe their artwork was done by chalk only!
My sandals are also from JCPenney. You probably have already seen me wear them multiple times on the blog. I had them on when I talked about the must-have tropical getaway outfit, when I was showcasing Revive Jewelry, and the floral jumpsuit I am obsessed with.
The top & pants fit true to size. The top is definitely a cropped top. So if you are large-chested, I recommend sizing up. It is a smocked style top so there is stretch! The sandals also fit true to size, and I got my usual shoe size.
9 Affordable Co-Ord Sets
Because I have been loving the matching set trend, I thought I would share my favorite 9 affordable co-ord sets. I will admit that I pretty much love all the sets from Free People. But I narrowed it down and shared a few from Free People and the rest from other retailers.
So have you tried or owned a co-ord set?
