Please tell me I’m not the only one itching to dress up. I love wearing loungewear, yoga pants, leggings, but I do feel so much better about myself and my day when I dress up. For some reason, dressing up really helps me be more productive when I work from home.
To be honest, there are instances when I do dress up but then a few hours later I get out of them. When I’m at home, I just want to be comfortable. And now I finally nailed the how to look dressed up while still being comfortable. The answer is this jumpsuit.
A little side story. I actually wore this jumpsuit when we were in Sarasota way before the coronavirus pandemic was a thing to worry about in the U.S. We went in January and I remember we all talked about what is going on in Wuhan, China. Therefore, these outfit photos were taken while we were in Sarasota. But since then, I’ve loved wearing this jumpsuit around the house. It seriously feels like pajamas but I look way more dressed up. It’s also crazy to think how much has changed since that photo was taken.
I’ll share more details about this jumpsuit below.
How To Look Dressed Up While Still Being Comfortable
Look For Mobility
When I say look for mobility, you want to look for an outfit where mobility is not restricted. You can pretty much do anything in them and feel comfortable in your motion. For instance, since this jumpsuit is wide-leg, I can pretty much move my legs around as I please. The smock style in the top is stretchy and doesn’t feel constricted.
Look For Breathable Fabric
Fabrics that don’t itch or cause you to feel overheated are the best kind to wear. This means you can feel comfortable wearing throughout the day!
Made To Wear Out
In order to pull off the “I look dressed up” appearance, the outfit actually has to be made as if you are leaving the house. Overall, you want something versatile. Something you can wear out for coffee, out for date night, or just out & about. Again, this jumpsuit is meant for me to head somewhere. Hence, why I wore it out in Sarasota. But it’s comfortable enough for me to wear it in the house!
Best Dressed Up Jumpsuit To Wear At Home
There are so many positive things I can say about this jumpsuit. Before I talk about fit and style, I’ll share my size. That way you can get a better idea on what size you should get!
I am 5’4″, weight about 140 lbs, straight body type with a bubble butt, and my chest is 32C. My usual size in dresses and jumpsuits is size small / size 4. For pants, I usually get a size small / size 4 / size 27. When I wear a top, I usually get a size small / size 4.
Size & Fit
I got my usual size which is a small and it fits me well. It’s comfortable from top to bottom. The length is a little bit long. I didn’t get it hemmed and was okay for the most part. But there were a few instances, where I would trip over it. On me, it slightly brushes the floor. If you plan on wearing heels and you are the same height as me, you’ll be fine with it.
The material of this jumpsuit is lightweight and so breathable. It is definitely meant to be worn in warmer temperatures. So this is great for Spring & Summer. I love that the top half of the jumpsuit is smocked style. It looks fitted without constricting and after eating tons of pizza, I’m still comfortable in it haha.
The pants are super wide-leg which I love! It gives the illusion that I’m wearing a maxi dress. Overall, I think wearing wide-leg pants is super flattering on any body type.
This deserves a category of its own haha. This jumpsuit has pockets!!!
Comes In Two Colors
So I’m wearing the ‘red combo’ color. But it also comes in a ‘black combo’ color as well.
